Dr. Timothy Iten enjoys people who enjoy life, and he feels that children do this the best through their optimistic outlook on the world. His belief and desire to make a difference in the lives of children was what drew him to the specialty of pediatric dentistry. Dr. Iten strongly believes that no one should be afraid of going to the dentist. By creating a positive experience early in life, he and his staff hope to instill a lasting impression that can translate into a lifetime of good, healthy, and happy smiles.
Dr. Iten received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology from Miami University in 1986. Graduating from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1990, Dr. Iten then spent the next two years at the Oregon Health & Science University in Portland where he completed a residency in pediatric dentistry in 1992. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, the Ohio Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Mansfield Dental Society. Dr. Iten also holds an oral conscious sedation permit from the state of Ohio.
Dr. Iten was born and raised in Orrville, Ohio. He is married to his best friend Anna and they have three children: Emily, Abi, and Andrew. Dr. Iten and his family find great strength in their faith and are active in their church, Ontario Christian Fellowship. In addition, Dr. Iten loves all things baseball, especially his beloved Tribe. He is also an avid historian and is a member of several living history organizations portraying early American history. He enjoys waterfowl hunting (alongside his Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Blitz), and is a passionate cook and traveler.
Dr. Heather Gregg enjoys treating children of all ages and strives to provide a positive environment for each child she meets. In the hopes that they grow up to be healthy, happy, smiling adults, Dr. Gregg is committed to educating her patients about the benefits of great oral hygiene and early preventive care.
Dr. Gregg is excited to be practicing in the Mansfield area as a pediatric dentist. She attended the University of Toledo where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, graduating magna cum laude. Subsequently, Dr. Gregg attended the Ohio State University and earned her degree as Doctor of Dental Surgery, receiving several awards for her research achievements. Following dental school, Dr. Gregg then completed a General Practice Residency at the Ohio State University and then went on to the University of New York at Buffalo to receive her specialty training in pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Gregg is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Mansfield Dental Society.
Dr. Gregg and her husband, Ben, have a beautiful daughter, Bridget and two lively boys, Teddy and Joseph. Her husband is currently serving the Ashland community as an orthodontist. Outside the office, Dr. Gregg enjoys several hobbies, such as cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
My name is Heather, and I am one of Dr. Iten and Gregg’s registered dental hygienists. I have been a hygienist since 2003 and have worked for Dr. Tim since 2006. I often tell the parents of our patients, “there is no parenting handbook on dentistry…” so the real joy I take from my work here is being able to teach parents and patients about how to best care for their smiles. The relationships I build with our patients and their parents are what make coming to work every day so rewarding. In addition to providing dental and hygiene education, I also assist with preventive procedures and implementing new and current dental trends and research into our practice.
My husband and I were married in Jamaica in 2009. We have a son Brandon, a little boy, Chase, and a Yorkshire Terrier, Gidgette. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, playing sports, and I’m also an active member of 5 Stones Community Church. Sharing dentistry with children combines two of my favorite things!
I graduated from The Ohio State University in 2002 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in dental hygiene, and I am a registered dental hygienist for our practice. I help our patients by cleaning their teeth, taking radiographs, providing fluoride treatments, and teaching great dental hygiene tips to both our patients and their parents. I love interacting with all the patients who come to us for treatment, and I really love to hear about what’s going on in their lives outside of the office. Our doctors are always so upbeat and energetic, and they always show our patients how much they care about them.
I am a wife and mom of three, and I love the time I get to spend with my family. When I have free time, I enjoy reading, shopping, attending my kids’ school and sporting events, and vacationing with my family. We are also very active in our church and community activities. I also devote time to continuing my dental education so that I can provide our patients the best care available.
Patient education is my favorite part of my job as a dental hygienist. I love teaching the little ones how to brush and floss, and love it even more when they leave an appointment smiling! We have a lot of fun together! I am so thankful to be part of an office full of genuine, caring people who love working with kids.
My husband, Wynn, and I have three children. Tanner is in college at Indiana University studying sports marketing and management, and our twins Olivia and Mason attend Lexington High School. We also have a dog named Nala. The kids keep us pretty busy with all their sports and activities, but I like to find time to dance and go for walks. Spending quality time with my family and friends is a must!
I am a dental hygienist in our practice, so I spend my time educating our little ones about how to best take care of their smile, conducting preventive treatments, and applying sealants to the little teeth of our patients. The entire staff and doctors are so caring of our patients and their parents, and I love how committed our office is to the happiness and health of the kids who come to see us. Knowing that I contribute to the healthy life habits of the kids I see each day is incredibly rewarding.
At home, I am married with two children, and when I have some time to myself, I relax by reading, weaving, and beading. Also, I have been a camp counselor for the past six years.
My patients, by far and away, are the best part of my job! I love to get to know each child personally so I can give them the individual care they deserve, and hopefully make them laugh a little, too. I understand that many kids are scared of the dentist, but I work hard to give them a positive, gentle experience. Everyone at our office is so kind; I always leave work with a smile because I’m surrounded by such wonderful, caring people.
My husband, Joe, and I have four children, Regan, Riley, Alyson, and Cooper, as well as a dog named Tyler and two cats, Ozzy and Oliver. When I’m not busy with the family, I enjoy playing tennis and golf, skiing, and swimming.
Being the practice’s office manager, I handle the insurance billing, accounts receivable and payable, collections, payroll, and confirming patients’ insurance benefits. I also help the office by ordering office supplies and scheduling appointments for patients. I love working with our patients’ parents to help answer any questions they have about their insurance coverage. Knowing that I help parents facilitate those beautiful smiles on their kids’ faces is the greatest reward I could ask for.
My husband Bill and I have two children - Joshua, who is stationed in Texas with the US Airforce is now married and has a son of his own, and Jonathan, who is pursuing his career. In my leisure time, I love to read, watch the Cleveland Indians, and camping. Also, whenever I am able to get away, I love going on vacation with friends and family.
At Pediatric Dentistry, I am another one of the smiling faces at the front desk. I check patients out, assist with phone calls, schedule appointments, co-coordinate IV sedations with anesthesiologists, send out monthly billing statements, post insurance payments, and verify our patient’s insurance coverage. I cherish the moments when our little patients show off to me their shiny new smiles after their appointments and they then pick a toy out of our toy box. We are all grown up children in our office, so we love to keep our environment fun and energetic.
My husband, Dave, and I have been married for many years, and we have two children and one grand child. We also have a big dog named Otis at home. I love going out to dinner with my family, going to the beach, and traveling with Dave. Some of my other favorite actives are reading, spending time at the pool in the summer, and skiing in the winter.
When I’m not answering phones and scheduling patients, I’m busy with data entry and filing (there’s never an end to our filing needs!). I love helping people of all ages, and it’s great when I can make our patients smile. Every day I see that our doctors make a difference—they are the best! Everyone here is all about making a great experience for each child.
My husband Jim and I have three grown children and seven grandchildren. Yoga is currently at the top of my list, but I also like to paint, play golf, and hike. I enjoy being part of a book club and a card club. Volunteering is important to me—one of the things I do is help with church meals. No matter who or where, I love to cook and feed people!
I help make sure our patients' experience in our office is stress free by checking in patients for their appointments, scheduling future visits, and verifying insurance coverage. I enjoy seeing all the new patients for their very first dental visit, and watching as they grow up into young adults with healthy, beautiful smiles. Drs. Iten and Gregg have such upbeat, caring, positive attitudes that is hard not to smile from ear to ear whenever I come to work.
At home, I have two children. We spend our time watching Buckeye football and basketball as well as several other Ohio sports.
I am an assistant as well as a front desk receptionist at Pediatric Dentistry. I help around the office with patient care, assisting the doctors and the hygienist, and scheduling appointments. I love how hard we all work to make sure our patients trust us and feel comfortable, and it is the best part of my day to see kids excited about coming to the dentist. Everything about our practice is in place with kids in mind, and our patients really do love our office. Growing up, I wanted to be a Veterinarian, but after seeing how rewarding it is to work with children, I am so thankful for what I do now.
My husband Justin and I have a beautiful daughter named Taylor at home. I also have three wonderful step children, Kaitlyn, Jayden, and Gabriel, and we love to play with our dogs, Bella and Harrison. In my free time, I love watching my daughter play softball while coaching alongside my husband. I also enjoy playing volleyball, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
With the ability to work both up-front and in the back of the office, I have a nice variety of duties to keep me busy throughout the day. I work three days of the week up-front as a receptionist taking payments, answering phones, and scheduling patients. The other two days of the week, I work in the back as a dental assistant seating patients, writing up charts, and taking x-rays. I’ve recently completed a course allowing me to monitor patients using nitrous oxide sedation. I am very lucky that I get to work for such upbeat and generous doctors who encourage me to continue my education.
At home I am a dog mom to an English bulldog named Gilbert. Growing up in a large family of eight, I realized early on that I love helping others and making them smile. I am an aunt to two nephews, Lincoln and Branson, and will be becoming an aunt again in the near future! My fiancé and I are currently busy planning our wedding for the summer of 2020. We look forward to starting our lives together and eventually starting a family of our own. In my free time I enjoy hiking, camping, cooking, and traveling. I am always up for an adventure.
In addition to being a certified dental assistant at our practice, I am also an EFDA, so I am able to place fillings and sealants on the teeth of our little patients. In our office, we are all like big kids ourselves, so we love having as much fun as we can with our kids. Our doctors make our office such a lively and fun environment, and they are so good and caring with our patients and their parents. I feel blessed to work for such a caring and loving practice. The best part of my job, by far, is getting that big hug from our kids at the end of their appointment!
At home, I have a son, Josh who lives in Dayton and a step-daughter, Jordyn who lives in Columbus with her husband Evan. My husband, Jeff, and I are big time dog lovers, so our house is also filled with our three four-legged children: our rescue dog, Willy (black and tan Coonhound), Wrangler (French Bulldog) and our latest edition Peanut (French Bulldog) with loving memory of Hooch (Bulldog) and Ginger (German Shepherd). In my free time, I love snowboarding, camping, crafting, and reading. But more than anything, I love spending time with my family and friends.
I graduated from Stark State Technical College in 2017 with my EFDA license which allows me to place fillings for both doctors, take X-rays, place sealants and help to calm any anxious patients. I love working with kids! They make each day brighter with their smiles, stories, and laughter! Everyone here is fun to be around and really excels at providing excellent care!
Right now, I'm busy planning my wedding to the love of my life Alex. We also have a beautiful Golden Doodle Maci Mae. I enjoy working out and shopping with my mom. I love spending time with my family and friends.
Here at Pediatric Dentistry, I am a dental assistant with my coronol polishing and sealant certificates so I assist Dr. Iten chairside during appointments and help children learn about good oral hygiene. Our doctors are such a joy to work with because they are patient with our children, and they love to fill our office with laughter. Making kids smile is the best part of my job and I love that I get to do that every day.
I am married to my best friend, Wayne, and we have an amazing little boy Mikey. When I’m not in the office, I love to spend time with them. I also enjoy playing with my American Bulldogs, Hogg and Hank. Some of my other favorite activities are fishing, camping, hanging around a bon fire.
In our office, I am a dental assistant with my coronol polishing and sealant certificates so I help Drs. Iten and Gregg chairside and by providing general patient care. Being able to see the smiles on the faces of our kids is awesome and it is definitely my favorite part of my job. I also love working with such a loving and thoughtful staff. Our doctors are amazing with our kids, and you can tell they really love what they do. Even though we all connect with our patients so well, I think I have an advantage because of my height; kids sometimes think I am a kid!
At home, my wonderful husband Cyril and I have a son named Beckett. We also enjoy walking with our Havanese named Tilly Cinderella and a Yorkie-Poo named LuLu. When I'm away from the office, I loving spending time with my incredible family and working out.
As a dental assistant, I help the doctors give care to our patients, especially with the tasks of coronal polishing and sealant placing. My favorite part of my job is playing and having conversations with the children. I like to make them feel welcome by becoming their friend—someone who is more than just another adult. Helping the kids to pick out their prizes is good bonding time (and being the first to play with the toys when they are delivered is a great perk!). Dr. Tim is fun, outgoing and upbeat. Dr. Heather is very relatable; I enjoy talking with her about makeup. Our doctors have different styles, but together make a great pair of people to work with. My hard work doesn’t go unnoticed; each day as I head out, I am thanked. As I always say, “Teamwork makes dream work.”
When I’m not working, I love to spend time with family and my Maltipoo named Daisy. I’ve been known to binge-watch Netflix series, and I can take impressively lengthy naps!
I am a new addition to the team here at Pediatric Dentistry. My job is to assist the doctors, hygienists and EFDA's, as well as prepping, cleaning, and performing lab work. I studied American Sign Language at Columbus State and received my Deaf Studies Certification. I have past experience in both pharmacy and phlebotomy, and I am excited to dive full force into the dental field, learning as much as I can and furthering my education. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you! Having grown up in this practice myself, I will strive to make each child's dental experience as positive as mine always was!
Outside of work, I am Mama to a beautiful four-year-old daughter named Amelia. We are outdoor girls who enjoy spending time with our kitty Dip & Dot, playing board games, and taking weekly trips to our favorite local coffee shop: Nickel and Bean! I am a crazy plant lady who loves Jesus, reading, and watching Disney movies. Hope to see you soon!
As a dental assistant, I help the doctors perform procedures for patients. I strive to be happy and energetic with each patient I see. My favorite part of my job is seeing the smiles on the children’s faces. Our doctors are amazing with children; it’s great to see how caring and gentle they are. We have something special that our patients really love—PlayStation 4’s in our lobby!
My husband A.J. and I have a son (Austin, 13) and two daughters (Raegan, 9 and Adalynn, 3). We all adore our four pets: Boston Terrier Brody and cats Twix, Blue, and Izzy. My kids are my hobbies! I help with the 4 to 5-year-old class at my church, so even when I volunteer, I choose to work with kids.
