Timothy Iten, DDS
Dr. Timothy Iten enjoys people who enjoy life, and he feels that children do this the best through their optimistic outlook on the world. His belief and desire to make a difference in the lives of children was what drew him to the specialty of pediatric dentistry. Dr. Iten strongly believes that no one should be afraid of going to the dentist. By creating a positive experience early in life, he and his staff hope to instill a lasting impression that can translate into a lifetime of good, healthy, and happy smiles.
Dr. Iten received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology from Miami University in 1986. Graduating from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1990, Dr. Iten then spent the next two years at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland where he completed a residency in pediatric dentistry in 1992. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, the Ohio Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Mansfield Dental Society. Dr. Iten also holds an oral conscious sedation permit from the state of Ohio.
Dr. Iten was born and raised in Orrville, Ohio. He is married to his best friend Anna and they have three children: Emily, Abi, and Andrew. Dr. Iten and his family find great strength in their faith and are active in their church, Ontario Christian Fellowship. In addition, Dr. Iten loves all things baseball, especially his beloved Tribe. He is also an avid historian and is a member of several living history organizations portraying early American history. He enjoys waterfowl hunting (alongside his Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Blitz), and is a passionate cook and traveler.
